Internet Addiction Prevention Center talks about parent-child health online education for parents of Wufeng Community

On April 29th, Prof. Ke Huizhen, Vice President of Wuya University and Director of the Center for Internet Addiction Prevention and Control of the Central Asia Union University, gave a "Healthy Internet and Happiness Learning" parent-child education lecture to the new parents of the Taichung Guangfu Elementary and Middle School Freshman Briefing Session. Explain the identification, causes, and prevention of Internet addiction; also talk about the harm of smart phone addiction to middle school adolescents, and how parents communicate with their children to establish norms for using 3C products.

The Ministry of Education's 106-year report pointed out that the proportion of addiction in middle school reached 14.3%, and that of smartphone addiction reached 29.9%. Asian universities set social responsibility as one of their missions, and set up the Central Asia Union University's Internet Addiction Prevention Center , Combined with research and teaching, to help the community develop and solve the problem of Internet addiction in children and adolescents. In recent years, the Internet Addiction Prevention Center has actively promoted the four major businesses of Internet "addiction promotion, talent training, research and development, and social advocacy"; this time, the talks with parents were held at the Briefing Session for Middle and Freshmen in the Recovered and Elementary Schools in Taichung City to discuss with them How to educate children to stay healthy online and create a happy learning environment. The cause and prevention of Internet addiction were discussed in the speech. Professor Ke Huizhen said in the speech that "adopting neglect or overdose of children's 3C product use can easily lead to Internet addiction; however, excessive authoritarian control may also cause Parent-child conflict. "It is recommended to adopt" democracy and discipline "to communicate more with children and discuss the pros, cons and norms of 3C product use is the best way.

Parents responded enthusiastically to this educational campaign, and actively participated in rewarded responses regarding the correct response to the prevention and treatment of Internet addiction. The University of Asia's Internet Addiction Prevention Center has put forward assistance programs to address the problems faced by parents in the community.
